Regular Events

PAPCA regularly hosts a variety of events. We would love to see you! If you don't already subscribe to our newsletter, please subscribe today so you know what's coming up.

  • Second Saturday Suppers: We meet at a Philly-area restaurant for a casual dinner and great conversation. PAPCA members are always welcome to host one of the monthly suppers; this is a great way to introduce other local RPCVs to the food of your host country. Email us if you'd like to learn more about hosting a dinner.
  • Fourth Thursday Happy Hours: Every fourth Thursday of the month, we meet up for a post-work happy hour at about 6PM. We rotate our happy hours around a core group of bars, and hope you'll swing by one fourth Thursday on your way home from work.
  • Quarterly Bookclub: Four times a year we meet up in the city to discuss books by international authors. If you're interested in bookclub, sign up here. If you'd like to get a sense for the types of books we read, we have a complete list of our past book selections.
  • Holiday Potluck: Every November or December, PAPCA members prepare a dish from their host country for our annual potluck.
  • Annual Picnic: Every summer we host a picnic. PAPCA provides meat and vegetarian options for grilling, and PAPCA members bring side dishes from their host countries. Many folks bring their kids and partners, and it's a great time!

Want to attend one of our Suppers or Happy Hours and not sure where to start? The best way to stay updated on our upcoming events is to sign up for PAPCA's newsletter. We'll email you about these events as well as other events; in addition to our regular events we also gather for bike rides, hikes, and many other activities in the Philly area.
